## What Candle is

Candle is a care-first platform with two connected halves:

- **A real person when it matters**: Every flow has a direct path to a human navigator. You are never alone with a bot during a crisis, denial, or emergency.
- **Caregivers are partners, not commodities**: Providers in our network agree to care-first standards. We turn away people who don't fit — and we back caregivers with navigators when situations get complex.
- **We fund access for those with none**: Membership subsidizes full-quality access for people in crisis without caregivers or means to pay. Same product. Same humans. No charity tier.
- **Transparent about AI limits**: We tell you when AI is drafting vs. when a human reviewed. We flag uncertainty. We don't perform confidence we don't have.
